I feel like my ability to draw is mirroring the history of sculpture in the West. In my Archaic Greek Period I didn't really know how to draw people very well, so I made some figures doing some stuff and hoped for the best. Now in my Greek Classical period, I learned anatomy and all I want to do is draw naked people (and who cares exactly what they're doing). Next up, Hellenistic, I'll start drawing naked people doing All Kinds of Crazy Things. Then I'll have a Roman period of copying what I did for the last thousand years because I couldn't think of anything better. And then I'll descend into an Early Christian period where I'll forget or blatantly ignore everything I've ever learned.
